All Endings & True Ending
Big Walk has exactly two endings: Big Goodbye (the normal ending) and Big Game (the true ending). You unlock the second ending by completing 7 post-game Purple Puzzles after the first credits roll — no new playthrough needed.
How many endings does Big Walk have?
Two. The first ending, Big Goodbye, arrives naturally at the end of the main story. The second and final ending, Big Game, is gated behind post-game content that only unlocks after you see the first credits. The two endings are sequential — not mutually exclusive — so you will eventually see both in the same save.
Ending 1: Big Goodbye (Normal Ending)
The normal ending is the natural conclusion to the main story path:
- Complete all four colored towers — Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue.
- Use the Black Key to unlock the Wall and enter the Black Tower area.
- Reach the large Black Sphere and complete the final set of puzzles inside.
- The first credits roll and the Big Goodbye trophy/achievement unlocks.
Most players hit this moment and assume the game is over. It isn't — the island stays open and the true ending becomes available immediately after.
Ending 2: Big Game (True / Secret Ending)
After the Big Goodbye credits roll, continue your existing save. A new layer of post-game content unlocks:
Step 1 — Complete the 7 Purple Puzzles
Seven harder Purple Puzzle variants appear across the island after the first ending. These are more challenging versions of the cooperative challenges from the main game:
- 30-Minute Timer — wait and return at the right moment
- Heavy Object / Golf Course challenge
- Light Wall signaling puzzle
- Music Box instrument selection
- Shape matching with nine objects
- Number code puzzle with tile removal
- Purple flag pole pushing course
Each completed puzzle rewards a purple collectible.
Step 2 — Fill the Green Completion Structure
Near the Tutorial / Map Room area, find the large green completion structure — distinct from the Green Tower. It has 15 slots waiting for the final collectibles: 8 red (earned through the main game towers) and 7 purple (from the post-game puzzles above). Place all 15 to trigger the next step.
Step 3 — Collect the White Key
After filling all 15 slots, a White Key rises from the ground. Take it back to the Black Sphere — which remains broken open from the first ending — and insert it to unlock the hidden route inside.
Step 4 — The Secret Room and True Ending
Climb the stairs inside the hidden route and walk through the white opening at the top. The final chamber presents a short message reflecting on the journey you completed together — then the true ending sequence plays and the Big Game trophy/achievement unlocks.
Key tips
- Keep the same host throughout. The save file is tied to whoever originally hosted the session. If you need to continue without that person, you'll have to start a new world — so plan sessions accordingly.
- No missable content. The island stays fully open after the first ending, so you can clean up any missed puzzles or collectibles at your own pace before inserting the White Key.
- The true ending takes extra time — the Purple Puzzles are harder than the main game, and rounding up 15 collectibles requires backtracking. Budget an extra session after Big Goodbye.
- Big Game is the Platinum gate. If you're hunting the Big Trophy (Platinum), Big Game is the last trophy you'll unlock.
