How Many Players

Big Walk supports 2 to 12 players in a single cooperative session.

The official player range

Both the Steam store page and the official PlayStation page for Big Walk confirm a session can hold between 2 and 12 players, with crossplay letting people on different platforms join the same session.

Does every puzzle use all 12 players?

Being able to have up to 12 people in a session isn't the same as every puzzle being designed around that exact number — media hands-on coverage describes the experience scaling with your group's size rather than requiring a full 12 to progress. If you're playing with a smaller group, you can still complete the game; the pacing will just feel different than a full session.

How do people actually join a session?

There's no automatic matchmaking (see the solo play & matchmaking guide for details) — sessions are joined by hosting a room or using an invite/join code with friends.
